We were just driving south down the Enchanted Highway looking for the next sculpture when the transmission went out on the PT Cruiser.	We looked west.	We looked back to the north.

We looked east.	We coasted to a stop on the dirt road on the west side of the road.	We spent the next hour at this spot.

After calling Chrysler Roadside Assistance, I organized the stuff in the car...	...and took a few photos of the nearby hay bale.	My artsy hay bale photo.

Rick showed up within a half hour or so.	He went right to work...	...and loaded the PT Cruiser on his tow truck.

He clamped the car down...		...and Boz and I climbed in for the 30 minute ride to Dickinson, North Dakota.

Rick took us to Charbonneau Chrysler...	...where we met smiling Rob the service guy and a bunch of other nice North Dakota guys.	They took the Cruiser right in to diagnose the problem.

Casey the tranny guy took a look...	...and he found metal shavings in the transmission. I'm told this is not a pretty picture.	So Phll the parts guy was called in to find a transmission. It has to be overnighted from Minneapolis, Minnesota -- 700 miles away.

Mitch was kind enough to give us a loaner car.	Jon was there, too.	And here's our loaner car -- 1996 Oldsmobile Ciera.

	While all the diagnosis and loaner car stuff was going on, we met this really nice couple from Minnesota and their dog Eight Ball. Their car broke down as well.
